On a brisk afternoon in April, the Croydon Park Youth Committee (CPYC) gathered in a local café to discuss what their first event as a Committee would be. And from there Movie Night 26.06.15 was born.
Over a span of seven weeks, the five members that make up the CPYC – Edward Frame, Marcella Gallace, Andrew Nguyen, Melinda Yeah, and Rocky Pang worked diligently and hard to see the event come to life.
Movie Night 26.06.15 saw 70 people flood through the doors to watch the animated movie, Despicable Me. Not only was entry and a cup of popcorn free but everyone who attended the event got a free raffle ticket for a $200 mystery prize.
Here is a sneak peek into the Behind the Scenes of creating Movie Night 26.06.15:
In early May, the CPYC check out their venue, the Western Suburbs Australian Football Club, and are extremely happy with it. A big thank you to the Club, who sponsored the event.
Mid May, the CPYC announces its first event, Despicable Me Movie Night 26.06.15 at the Croydon Park Festival Thank You Evening. In the image, you can see CPYC member Melinda (centre) watch Rocky speak about the Event.

It is not easy counting M&Ms for a guessing jar competition! In the end there were over 1,200 M&Ms in the jar!
Here is the lolly jar, held tight by our clever winner who took out the guessing comp!
